Peter Merriman and his wife Vicki operates Merriman’s, an upscale restaurant located on the Big Island that features locally grown produce, meats and fish for over 20 years. When the opportunity arose for the purchase of the property the restaurant was located in they partnered with HEDCO LDC –SBA 504 Loan Program and Bank of Hawaii- Maui BBC to finance the acquisition. This enabled the Merriman’s to acquire their own fee-simple commercial property with just 10% down and a 20-year fixed-rate 504 loan for a portion of the project cost.
